The Institute of Southeast Asian Studies (ISEAS)has published a booklet entitled 'Know Your ASEAN'. Small and handy, the booklet presents information on ASEAN in a user-friendly manner with colourful illustrations by Miel, to appeal to our young audience in schools. Facts and information about ASEAN are provided in the form of answers to 40 questions such as "Why are ASEAN countries committed not to interfere in one another's internal affairs?", "What is ASEAN stance on human rights?", and "What is ASEAN doing to protect the regional environment?" etc. The concise answers to these questions explain what ASEAN is doing to promote regional cooperation on poverty reduction, natural disasters, counter terrorism etc, and also touch on ASEAN's relations with other countries and international institutions which will help students understand more about ASEAN. Strongly recommended for upper primary, secondary and JC students
