RACIAL HARMONY DAY CELEBRATION 2007

Introduction

This year, we have two key events for Racial Harmony Day 2007 namely:

a) RH Forum for school leaders, teachers and parents on 6 July. This is the main event that will involve all school leaders and some teachers and parents from each school as we believe that educators and parents are the main multipliers for RH efforts in schools. The theme is Harmony Talks.

b) 3 schools will be hosting the Racial Harmony Day Celebration on 20 July. As part of MOE's effort to promote deeper engagement in Racial Harmony and to encourage a ground-up approach and a sense of ownership with regards to NE and RH. In this way, we can highlight and showcase the schools' celebration and continue to keep up the high profile of RH celebration in schools and not duplicate another celebration at the national level.

These schools are Evergreen Secondary, St Gabriel's Secondary and Greenridge Primary. These celebrations are school-based. Other schools will continue with your own RHD celebrations and not be involved in this.
