The butterfly symbolises Singapore as a free country. Each of the butterfly’s wings represents a different culture in Singapore. The top left wing of the butterfly represents the Chinese culture. The bottom left wing represents the Eurasians. The top right wing represents the Malays and the last wing represents the Indians. They work together to help Singapore soar and achieve greatness.
